Doqondiide Clan of Somalia

 The Doqondiide clan is a Somali clan that is a part of the larger Gaaljecel  tribe. The Doqondiide clan is believed to have originally lived in the regions  of Hiiran state  & Jubalan state  which is located in  Somalia. 

The Doqondiide clan is believed to have migrated from Hiiran state in Somalia to the Midle & lower Juba regions in the late 18th century. They settled in the areas that they established including the

The Doqondiide clan is believed to have been an important component in the struggles of the Somali people against the colonial powers of Italy and Britain in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During this period, the Doqondiide clan was known for their fierce resistance and bravery. 

In the early 1950s, the Doqondiide clan was a major part of the Somali Youth League (SYL), which was a political organization that sought to establish an independent Somali state. The SYL was successful in achieving its goals, and the Somali Republic was established in 1960.
